Nelson Lagoon is a small village of approximately 55 residents that has pristine sandy beaches on the Bering Sea side of the Aleutian Peninsula. Eastern Aleutian Tribes operates the Paul Martin Gundersen Memorial Clinic, which is located in Nelson Lagoon, and can be reached at (907)989-2202. The local Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) is located there. There are no stores in Nelson Lagoon, so if you are getting low on food you can call the Bearfoot Inn Store in Cold Bay for bush orders. Precision Air is stationed in Nelson Lagoon. In addition, Grant Aviation flies to Nelson Lagoon to deliver and pick-up mail and passengers. Eider Air and Lake Clark Air are available to do charter trips.
