King Cove is one of Eastern Aleutian Tribes largest sites. It is home to approximately 935 residents. The King Cove Community Health Center can be reached at (907)497-2311. There is also a King Cove Police Department located here. There are three grocery stores located in King Cove: Alaska Commercial (AC), John Gould & Son’s/ True Value, and Peter Pan. AC is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sundays from 12:00-4:00 pm, John Gould & Son’s/ True Value is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Sundays from 12:00-4:00 pm. Peter Pan Store is open Monday through Sunday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, hours change depending on if there is a fishing season going on. Motel rooms are available for rent from the King Cove Corporation. King Cove China is the only restaurant located in King Cove. Jane’s Java Jungle is the local coffee shop that is open Monday through Saturday. Eider Air is stationed in King Cove, Precision Air, and Lake Clark Air makes charter trips and Grant Aviation delivers and picks-up mail and passengers. From May to September the Alaska Marine Highway M/V Tustumena stops here on a biweekly schedule.
