Cold Bay’s population is approximately 40 residents. Eastern Aleutian Tribes operates the Anna Livingston Memorial Clinic, which is located in Cold Bay, and can be reached at (907)532-2000. Cold Bay does not have a police department or a Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO). The Bearfoot Inn is a motel in Cold Bay and is also the only grocery and merchandise store. Bearfoot Inn Store is open from Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm and on Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The store is closed on Sunday.
Grant Aviation, stationed in Cold Bay, flies to False Pass, King Cove, Nelson Lagoon, and Port Moller to deliver and pick-up mail and take passengers. Pen Air flies to Cold Bay Monday through Saturday to drop passengers off and to pick up passengers to take them to Anchorage. Cold Bay’s runway is the fifth-largest in Alaska. In addition to Pen Air and Grant Aviation, Eider Air, Precision Air, and Lake Clark Air make routine trips to Cold Bay. From May to September the Alaska Marine Highway M/V Tustumena stops here on a biweekly schedule.
